Two notes I would like to make on this scene in regards to the music:
1. The song changes immediately upon Dave sitting down and striking up his conversation with Kurt. Literally, the song cuts out completely and slowly changes to Thelma Houston’s “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”
2. The lines of the song that come through the moments of silence between Kurt and Dave seem telling.
“Right now, I’m just trying to get through High School.”
